Summer Reading Suggestions for Incoming Fourth Graders

Dear Incoming Fourth Grader, 

 

It is almost time for summer vacation. The current fourth graders came up with a list of recommendations for you to read during the summer. Look through the list and pick out a few that you would like to read. We hope you make time to read every day.

"I think this is a good book because it is funny and has a lot of action." 

 

 

The Witches by Roald Dahl 

 

"This is my favorite chapter book. I like all of Roald Dahl's books."

"I think that if you would like a little scare this book is good for you. It is about these two kids who get sent to their aunt's inn. They try to haunt the guests there. They discover that the inn is really haunted." 

 

 

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume 

 

"It is an older book but it is still worth reading. I'm glad I read it this year."

"I think that you will really like this book because it has a lot of action. It is about two kids who try to rescue their dad and mess up a lot along the way. It is one of the best books I've ever read."

He is giving Annie a week to find homes for fourth little kittens. If she doesn't get them home in a week then Mr. Williams will throw them out. Read it to find out what happens."

Into the Wild by Erin Hunter
